“
I began studying piano at age three. When I was eight, I first saw a harpist play with the Portland Mandophonic orchestra and I fell in love! However, it wasn’t until age eleven that I was able to begin lessons on the lever harp. Through my teenage years, I performed for numerous events with my sibling band, Whispering Roses; including concerts, private parties, weddings, retirement homes and highland games. At age eighteen, I was finally able to get a pedal harp and studied first with Karen Almquist, and then Jenny Lindner. I have loved exploring a variety of music with local orchestras, musicals, choirs and playing for numerous private events. The harp has taken me so many amazing places. Some of the most memorable are playing with Garrison Keillor and the Coeur d’Alene orchestra, and appearing in the TV show “Going Home”! My life has been greatly enriched by it and I look forward to sharing the harp with you.
